As I have been doing projects within the past couple of days, I have figured out some helpful tips while using my Cricut and Cuttlebug.
Tip 1: Have you cut out an image with your Cricut and noticed that a smile is a little jacked up or holes aren't big enough to notice? Well, try turning down your pressure. I had mine set to max and was always getting the smile look terrible! I now have my pressure set to high or medium depending on the paper and it makes a world of a difference!
Tip 2: I just bought my Cuttlebug yesterday and I love it! It's amazing. But I noticed that while embossing thin patterned paper, it would rip it. As I was trying to add tape to an embossed paper, it ripped more! So I recommend that you either solid color cardstock for embossing or thick patterned paper.
I hope that helps someone as much as it's helping me. Since getting a Cuttlebug yesterday, I have made EIGHT new cards! That usually takes me a week or longer to make that many! Michael's is having a great sale this week on punches and paper. I got five packs of 8 1/2 in by 11 in paper for $10 and two fiskars borders for $7.99 each because they were half off. I also got two Martha Stewart border punches for $7.99 as well because they were on clearance. Joann's is having a sale on cartridges. I bought Once Upon a Princess for $29.99 from $39.99 and other cartridges that are regularly $49.99 are $32.99 this week. I hope this helps!
